Woodson Discharged from Hospital--April 2014

Woodson had heart surgery at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida on April 3. He had a hole in his heart patched by sewing a small piece of his heart sack (pericardium) over the hole. Woodson will never have to have heart surgery again.

Woodson did very well during surgery and post-operatively and was discharged to his host family four days later.

This took 27 months from the time Woodson was diagnosed in Haiti until April 3 when he was gently placed on the operating table to be operated at All Children’s. Haitian Hearts thanks EVERYONE in Florida for all of their help for giving Woodson the chance that he needed.
