I posted here about Yolanda. She lives in Park Cadot #1.

This 9 year old has a colostomy and was to return to the hospital in Mirebalais three weeks ago for surgery.

However, her mother became ill, and her father (above) told me they have no money to get her back to Port-au-Prince.

So we need to transport her to Port somehow.  However, the dangerous and unpredictable problems in the streets due to the political unrest right now does not make this a good time for Yolanda to travel.

In Haiti nothing is easy. But everything is possible.

Nothing is impossible, especially if her father is a Chuck Norris adherent (as evidenced by his T-shirt).

If you were to put it to any U.S. doctor, what would their expectation have been for her survival in these circumstances.

She can survive indefinitely with her colostomy. But she needs to be reconnected. The camp can make her sick for many other reasons not associated with the colostomy. She is malnourished and thus needs nutrition before surgery so she can heal from surgery.
