Madame Trinkle and The Virus--March 2020

Madame Trinkle says The Virus is nothing to worry about.
And the presidents say the same thing as Madame Trinkle. And God is invoked somehow. But one sees from where one stands.
We are assured that ports of entry are secured and that people are being effectively screened on porous borders, in prisons, and in places of “mass gatherings.”
Really?
But we know this is NOT about The Virus. It is NOT about deceptive arguments regarding which is worse–coronavirus or influenza?
It is about weak public health systems and it is about corruption.
And ultimately it is about Madame Trinkle’s fear that when the poor don’t have health, none of us will have health.
