Haiti had the first successful slave revolution in the world.

But Haitians are not free.

Does this man look free to you? He does not have enough to eat or drink, can’t read or write, has no job (except tilling a small piece of land by hand), and he has no health care.

Yes, Haiti became the first black republic in the world in 1804.

But Haiti is not liberated.

Haitians are not free.
